Val attended Stafford College of Art in the early 60s but except for the occasional short Course, she didn’t pursue her interest in painting until having the good fortune to join Creech Barrow Art Group in 2016. She enjoys Life drawing and particularly painting en plein air working mainly in oils and engaging emotionally with the subject to portray atmosphere.
